The Dauphin County Coroner’s Annual Report for 2021 has been completed and is available online.

The report includes information on causes and manners of death as ruled by Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick’s office.

In all, there were a total of 4,314 investigations reported to the Coroner’s Office in 2021, the report states.

“It is the purpose of the coroner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death. Over the past thirty years I have grown to understand the importance of what the dead tell us through the study of their patterns of death,” Hetrick writes in the report. “If we strive to understand how we die, then we should be able to understand how we are living and how we should be living.”
