The Board of Commissioners will vote on June 2 on funding to support persons experiencing homelessness.

The funding would be a state grant for a collaborative community project to support people without homes and prevent homelessness.

The Dauphin County Human Services Director’s office (on behalf of the county) is applying for a Pennsylvania ESG Program grant in the amount of $177,460.96.

The funding would support a collaborative project involving the Latino Connection, Christian Churches United, Downtown Daily Bread, and Valley Youth House to support homeless individuals in Dauphin County for the homeless management information system, increased vaccine distribution, and street outreach.

The state ESG Program is part of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.
