Dauphin County Coroner's Office releases autopsy report on fallen U.S. Marshal

HARRISBURG, PA (January 18, 2018) – Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick’s office conducted an autopsy on 45-year-old Deputy U.S. Marshal Christopher Hill who died in the line of duty on January 18 at a residence on the 1800 block of Mulberry Street in the City of Harrisburg.
 
According to the coroner, the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest. The manner of death was homicide.
 
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work with law enforcement on the investigation.
 
The coroner is expected to conduct an autopsy on the man who shot Hill early next week.
