Dauphin County Prison to suspend visitation for two weeks as a precaution

HARRISBURG, PA (March 12, 2020) – To ensure the safety of staff and inmates from COVID-19, Dauphin County Prison will suspend all visits effective March 13, 2020 at 7 a.m. for two weeks.

Only properly identified staff, vendors, attorneys, members of the PA Prison Society and contractors will be allowed to enter the Dauphin County Prison pending the result of a non-invasive screening.

Central Court proceedings will continue at the prison; however, only the plaintiff, defendant, subpoenaed witnesses, attorneys of record and documented legal guardians will be permitted into the facility pending the result of a non-invasive screening.

Because we realize the importance of visitation with family and friends, we are attaching the link containing directions to our video visitation program.
