The Twelfth Judicial District is comprised of fifteen Magisterial District Judges, each covering a portion of the County of Dauphin. In addition, there is a designated Central Court at Dauphin County Prison, where assigned Senior (retired) District Judges hear the cases of incarcerated defendants. The Magisterial District Judge System has a $4.5 million budget, 90 employees, processes 90,000 cases each year, and realizes revenue of over $5 million annually.
