Waste Management & Recycling
The Dauphin County Department of Solid Waste Management and Recycling was created by the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners in the year 2000. Our purpose is to plan and implement solid waste management and recycling projects for the county that feature intergovernmental cooperation, resulting in environmentally safe
and proper recycling and disposal of waste.
Our Department will continually strive for community outreach concerning the proper source separation, disposal and recycling of waste through maintaining innovative, cost-effective educational programs and public services.
