CHECK DOE LICENSE APPLICATION STATUS
You can check the status of your doe license application online by following the link below. Application for first-round licenses can be made on Monday, July 11, 2011 through the US Postal Service only. Non-resident licenses are available via mail beginning on Monday, July 25. Over-the-counter licenses will be available on August 22 for WMU 2B, 5C and 5D and on October 4 for all WMU's. Doe Licenses Hunting licenses for the 2011-12 license year will be available June 13, 2011 through June 30, 2012.

Important Doe Licensing Dates

Monday July 11th- First day resident antlerless deer applications accepted by County Treasurers (Mail only)
Monday July 25th- First day of non resident
Monday August 1st- 1st round of unsold, One unsold per applicant (mail only)
Monday August 1st- Begin accepting Antlerless applications for unlimited WMU's 2B, 5C, 5D (Mail only)
Monday August 15- 2nd round of unsold, One additional unsold per applicant (mail only)
Monday August 22- Begin accepting Over the Counter applications for WMU's 2B, 5C, 5D for unlimited sold tags
Monday September 12- Deadline for County Treasurers to mail successful applicants' licenses (regular and first round unsold)
Monday September 26- Deadline for County Treasurers to mail successful applicants' licenses (second round of unsold)
Monday October 3- County Treasurers statewide begin accepting applications over-the-counter if antlerless deer licenses and unsold tags are still available

Military Personnel

In order to qualify for a Reduced-Fee Resident National Guard or Resident Reserves Hunting License, the applicant must have been, within the last 24 months, deployed overseas for a period of 180 consecutive days or more or was released early from such service because of injury or disease incurred in the line of duty. Applicants must show proof of individual or unit orders showing the return date from overseas, as well as proof of residency (options listed below).

Active Duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. Coast Guard who have been officially stationed and quartered in PA for a period of 30 consecutive days immediately preceding application for a license, may be issued a resident license. Military personnel who apply for a resident license or must produce their military identification card and proof of their active duty status and residency via:

  1. Official orders verifying residency status or home of record
  2. Pay stub verifying residency status or home of record
  3. Official Residency Certificate issued by their military branch

In order to be eligible for Armed Forces Antlerless deer licenses the applicant must be a resident full time active duty or within sixty days of their honorable discharge. Applicants must still produce substantial proof of their military status (listed above). Military personnel are guaranteed one antlerless deer license.
