Dauphin County Archive

Dauphin County Archive Dauphin County is pleased to announce the establishment of our new Dauphin County Archive Center that will be located at 1271 S. 28th Street, Harrisburg. Hours of operation will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 12 pm or by appointment. You can reach Archive staff at 780-6323 during these hours.

Dauphin County will be launching a Website that will include information for the public on the services offered by the Archive. There will be a holdings inventory and a finding aid to make researching the documents easier. Holdings include documents from the late 18th century to the early 20th century from the Recorder of Deeds office, the Prothonotary office and the Register of Wills office.

Dauphin County will also provide links to other Historical Websites such as the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission, the Dauphin County Historical Society and other historical sites.

Dauphin County would like to thank the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for the grant opportunity that enables us to move forward with our plans for a County Archives. The matching grant provided monies for shelving, equipment, and personnel.

Look for the announcement of our grand opening coming soon!
