Dauphin County Coroner Releases Information on 4 who Died in Aug. 6 Fire in Steelton

Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick released the following information Tuesday about a fire in Steelton on Aug. 6 that resulted in deaths of two adults and two children.

The decedents, along with cause and manner of death, are as follow:

- Jafar Afshar, 67

   Cause: thermal burns, smoke inhalation; manner: suicide

- Saeed Afshar, 36

   Cause: thermal burns, smoke inhalation; manner: homicide

- 8 YO male

   Cause: thermal burns, smoke inhalation; manner: homicide

- 5 YO female

   Cause: thermal burns, smoke inhalation; manner: homicide

The four decedents resided at 441 S. Front St., which was the location of the fire.
