NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN DAUPHIN COUNTY: Join the County Commissioners at an Event Near You

NNO 2021 Hor

Do you have plans for Tuesday, Aug. 3?

Join your family, friends, neighbors – and the Dauphin County Commissioners – at National Night Out community events to honor Dauphin County’s emergency responders.

There are numerous community events across Dauphin County, quite the expansion since National Night Out began in 1984 with a tradition of turning on a porch light.

Dauphin County Commissioners Mike Pries, Chad Saylor, and George P. Hartwick III will be making stops across the county throughout the evening.

“These are celebrations for our emergency responders and recognition of all their sacrifices and hard work that help keep us safe,” Commissioner Chair Pries said.

The events are free and do not require registration to attend.

“Go out and meet your police officers, firefighters, and paramedics,” Commissioner Saylor said. “Familiarity and trust make our communities even stronger.”

Dauphin County government departments, including the Sheriff’s Office (with K-9s) and Department of Public Safety, will also be making stops at events.

“These brave men and women are more than strangers in uniforms – they are your neighbors, they are part of your block, borough, township, and city,” Commissioner Hartwick said.
