Dauphin County to host 13th annual Northern Dauphin Community Family Fall Festival on September 30

ELIZABETHVILLE, PA (September 7, 2017)— Dauphin County Commissioners Jeff Haste, Mike Pries and George P. Hartwick, III, along with the county’s Northern Dauphin Human Services Center, will host their annual Family Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Elizabethville Borough Park.

“Every fall we host this event not only to bring the community together, but also to pay tribute to our hometown heroes who served in the military or as first responders,” said Hartwick.

This free event will feature a kids’ corner with free games and prizes, employment information, craft vendors, live entertainment, food-eating contests and much more. One free hot dog will be offered, while supplies last, compliments of Koppy’s on the Square.

Deimler’s Meat, Boyer’s Market, Red Robin, Mr. Sno Cone, and CSA Brew Farm will have food for purchase.

“In addition to great food and live entertainment, the festival will feature a talent show for children and adults,” said Haste.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three performers in the talent show’s children and adult divisions.

At noon, the commissioners and other dignitaries will honor local veterans, first responders, and community volunteers who will appear in the 2018 Northern Dauphin Community Calendar.

The event will also benefit the community by accepting blood donations in honor of Austin Kent and non-perishable food donations for the Northern Dauphin Food Pantry.

“Thanks to the many sponsors and community partners who made this year’s celebration possible,” said Pries. “We also appreciate Elizabethville Borough for allowing us to use the beautiful park.”
