Poverty Forum

History of the Poverty Forum

The Dauphin County Poverty Forum is the longest-running collaborative meeting in the area. It has been ongoing for more than thirty years. The forum allows networking, the interchange of information, resource sharing, and an opportunity to better understand economic differences in our community. Presenters are placed on a waiting list if they wish to speak. About 40 attendees from a variety of community services come on a monthly basis.

Poverty Forum Monthly Meetings

The Dauphin County Poverty Forum is held the second Thursday of each month, excluding the months of July and August. All meetings are held at the Dodge City Restaurant at 1037 Paxton Street in Harrisburg. A full menu breakfast is available and is Dutch treat. Meetings begin at 8 a.m. and usually end around 9 a.m., or once announcements are completed.
