Fixed Route Bus Services

Capitol Area Transits (CAT) fixed route bus service is available free to persons aged 65 and older after 9:00 AM and before 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday and all day Saturday. You must show your commonwealth ID card when you board the bus. The card may be obtained at the CAT office by presenting proof of age. For further information call 232-6100. Senior citizens living within one quarter mile of a bus stop and whose destination is within one quarter mile of a bus stop usually use the bus (CAT Transit) to go to their appointment.

On Capitol Trailways buses you can ride a total of 35 miles free within Pennsylvania if you are at least 65 years old. You must present proof of age such as a Senior Citizen Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Transportation I.D. Card, drivers license, or birth certificate. This free service is available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM and also between 6:30 PM and 6:00 AM Monday through Friday. You can travel at anytime on weekends and holidays.
