Poverty Forum

Poverty Forum

The Poverty Forum is an information-sharing meeting for all interested organizations in the social services fields, such as, housing/shelter, food, and education, etc. Generally, there is a speaker at the meeting who presents to the group relating to a specific issue.

The Human Services Director's Office coordinates and facilitates the Poverty Forum. It is held the 2nd Thursday of each month (see below for all 2007 dates), excluding the months of July and August at 8 a.m. being held at Dodge City 1037 Paxton Street, Harrisburg.

This forum is the longest running collaborative meeting in the area. It has been ongoing for over thirty years.

A Yahoo Group Listserve offers a variety of information, including specific adult service events within the Dauphin County community. The Poverty Forum Yahoo site is: www.groups.yahoo.com/group/dauphinpovertyforum
