Dauphin County Facility maintenance Department consists of 14 full-time employees, 22 part-time housekeeping employees and (1) full-time in-house postal service employee. Facility Maintenance Department is accountable for the maintenance and repair for the Dauphin County Courthouse, Veteran Memorial Building, Human Service Building, Ruttferhouse, 100 Chestnut Street Building and Administration Building. The department assists the informational Technology department with telecommunication cable wiring. The department also provides assistance with housekeeping, relocation of offices and furniture as well as furniture repair and painting. The department is responsible for control of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), snow removal, fire system and outside grounds. Facility Maintenance Department provides prevalent information required by the Department of Labor and Industry regarding certification for gate of boiler, vessel, storage tank and elevators.
 
Transportation and Bulk Storage Building and Area Agency Kitchen. Both departments requires for facility maintenance and repairs, outside grounds, snow removal, HVAC, and fire and security systems.
 
Magisterial District Justice offices; Smith, Semic, Jennings, Stewart, Postelle and Zozos include facility maintenance and repair, housekeeping, outside grounds preservation, snow removal, furniture relocation as well as HVAC services. The remaining Magisterial District Justices Offices should contact the Director of Facilities Maintenance for any repairs.
