For more than 30 years, Dauphin County has responsibly invested its Liquid Fuels funds to replace, improve, and maintain the County’s bridges.  This has led to the County having zero structurally deficient bridges.  As a result of this stewardship, the County has been able to invest surplus Liquid Fuels funding to support communities and private entities with financing surface transportation improvement projects that support economic development.

Established in 2013 through a unique partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Dauphin County Infrastructure Bank (DCIB) has supported 27 local infrastructure projects with $30.13 million subsidized financing.

In 2022, the infrastructure bank was expanded by adding the new Infrastructure Bank-General (DCIB-G) Program.  This program expands the types of eligible projects to include water, stormwater, sewer and other general infrastructure projects.  The inaugural DCIB-G program will fund nine projects with $16 million in subsidized financing.

Applications to the DCIB for both transportation and DCIB-G projects opens annually with level of participation dictating final borrowing decision.  Please check back in Spring/Summer 2023 for additional information on the next DCIB application round.
