 June 07, 2017 - Dauphin County to Host 10th Annual Music and Wine Festival on June 10 and 11

HARRISBURG, PA (June 7, 2017)Groove to live music under the sun and stars at the annual Dauphin County Music and Wine Festival, presented by the Dauphin County Commissioners and M&T Bank, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11 at historic Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg. 

“This year is the 10th anniversary of the two-day Music and Wine Festival,” said Chairman Jeff Haste, who oversees the county’s Parks and Recreation Department. “We started this outdoor festival a decade ago to offer quality entertainment, boost tourism and improve the quality of life in this region.”
The festival will feature seven of Pennsylvania’s best wineries—and free wine tasting—four national acts and eight bands, all on the grounds of the beautiful Fort Hunter Park, along the Susquehanna River. The outdoor festival will also feature a host of craft and food vendors. 
Sample some of Central Pennsylvania’s top wines while enjoying the live entertainment.  Participating wineries will include six wineries from the Hershey Harrisburg Wine Country and Four Springs Winery. Free wine glasses will be offered to the first 3,000 people. 
On Saturday, the Blues Society of Central PA will feature national recording artist, Kelly Bell Band along with Vanessa Collier, and Don Johnson Project. Members of the Blues Society—including Ben Brandt Trio, Mendez Brothers, and Buzzard Luck—will also perform.
Sunday will feature We Are One Tribute X-Perience Band honoring Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.  Gerardo Contino y Los Habaneros will also perform. Local bands such as Class Act featuring Rita and The Passionettes also will perform.
“This event kicks off our summer concert series, which includes a number of free movie nights in the park and other outdoor music festivals,” said Commissioner Mike Pries.  
Bring a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic basket.  The festival will be held rain or shine. No outside alcohol is permitted.
One ticket price will gain admission for both days. Advance ticket sales are $30, and admission is $40 at the gate. Children age 12 and under are free of charge.  Tickets may be purchased at Mr. Mike’s Records, the Dauphin County Parks and Recreation office at Fort Hunter Park, and online at
