Long Term Care Ombudsman

"Ombudsman" is a Swedish word meaning citizen representative. In Pennsylvania, a Long-Term Care Ombudsman serves as a mediator who seeks to resolve complaints made by or on behalf of people 60 years of age and older who are consumers of long-term care services. The Ombudsman provides a way for people to voice their concerns and have their complaints addressed. The Ombudsman tries to work with all parties to resolve a problem. Ombudsman services may be used by residents of nursing and personal care homes and by individuals receiving long-term care services in their home and community. To request Ombudsman Service call (717)-780-6130.
