Area Agency on Aging $12.96
Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Clerk Typist 2.  An employee in this position will perform data-entry duties into the Social Assessment Management System and Omnia software programs and all other Agency database programs to record consumer, provider or other pertinent data for service authorizations and service deliveries as well as for the roster and reporting needs of the Agency.  The employee will communicate with the various Agency service providers and trouble-shoot service provider reporting issues.  The employee will also prepare and mail service provider monthly data-collection forms and rosters.  This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:  Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or any combination of equivalent experience or training.
   
Other Requirements: A resume must be attached to the application.  A valid driver’s license, a favorable criminal background check and favorable child abuse and FBI clearances are required.  Working during non-traditional hours may at times be required.

Emergency Management Agency$18.09
Dauphin County Emergency Management Agency is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Communications Technician.  An employee in this position is responsible to perform technical and administrative work in the County Emergency Management Agency, with primary focus in supporting the agency’s radio and telephone communications systems.  The employee performs routine maintenance activities at radio tower sites and assists with radio and telephone systems administration.   He/she supports the mission critical operations of the communications network and infrastructure 24 X 7.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Graduation from an accredited college with a two-year degree in a related field; plus one year’s experience supporting technical systems and users with preference of three years’ experience with emergency services or public safety.  Experience in a related technical or administrative field may be substituted year for year for educational requirements. The successful applicant must possess a clean criminal history, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and have an aptitude in computer technology related towards public safety applications.

Probation Services-Juvenile Division $17.80
Dauphin County Probation Services – Juvenile Division is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Probation Officer I.  An employee in this position provides services and supervises juveniles who have been placed on probation, and maintains regular contact with juveniles’ families for counseling and information sharing.  The Probation Officer must attend all hearings for the probationer and enforce conditions of probation supervision mandated by the Court.  Probation Officers carry a firearm when they perform their duties and they must pass their firearm certification each year.  He/she must be able to maintain accurate records and information on the juveniles.  This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least 18 credits in Social Science.  A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a favorable criminal background check are required.

Dauphin County Social Services for Children & Youth is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Caseworker 2.  An employee in this position will interview, assess, and plan or provide social services to children, adolescents, and their families.  The employee will establish and maintain associated confidential records, and collaborate with legal staff in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings pursuant to clients’ well-being.  The employee may task assignments to a Social Services Aide, and will report to a Casework Supervisor (with subsequent review by the Director of Social Services or the Agency Administrator).  This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:  Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare or social work major; or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency.
