Dauphin County Domestic Relations Office is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Department Clerk 1 (Phone Operator).  The employee in this entry level position operates a centralized telephone switchboard system.  Job duties include answering and transferring a large volume of incoming telephone calls by using a standardized phone script, responding to general inquiries by the public, providing clerical support, such as data entry through a statewide computerized database and mailing requested paperwork.  This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program; previous experience in an office environment to include computer experience, and with a concentration on client interaction and customer service or comparable work in sales environment.  A favorable criminal background check is required.
