Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities$19.94
Dauphin County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities is accepting applications for the Crisis Intervention Second Shift Supervisor position. This is a position within the 24-hour emergency Crisis Intervention Program which provides immediate responses to a variety of life crisis situations for persons in Dauphin County. This is one of two supervisory positions within the Crisis program, supervising ten second and third shift Crisis Caseworkers, and sharing on-call duty for nights and weekends. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and decision-making. The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the program’s policies and procedures for mobile, telephone, and walk-in Crisis services; the county mental health system, mental health commitment laws and other applicable mental health regulations; crisis counseling and intervention techniques; related mental health diagnostic and assessment skills; and general personnel and supervision policies. This position requires usage and supervision of the program’s electronic case notes system, disposition planning, knowledge of community human services programs, ethics for professional human services staff, ability to communicate orally and in writing, and ability to develop culturally sensitive rapport with diverse populations. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
 
Other Requirements: A copy of either the official or unofficial college transcript(s) and diploma along with a resume must be attached to the transfer application. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a favorable criminal background check, and child abuse clearance are required.

Judicial Center$17.25
Dauphin County Judicial Center is currently accepting applications for the full-time, varied shift position of Judicial Center Officer.  An employee in this position ensures the efficient processing of detainees through Dauphin County’s centralized booking/processing center.  This is to include ensuring the safety and security of those persons detained and working closely with all law enforcement agencies to provide a timely transfer of custody to the Judicial Center.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Science, Psychology, or related field preferred.  Must acquire and maintain the following certifications:  CPR/First Aid, AED, Passive Restraint Training, Oleoresin Capsicum, PPCT- Restraint Training, and Fire Safety.  A favorable criminal background check is required.
