Legal Clerk

Magisterial District Judge Lindsey is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Legal Clerk.  An employee in this position is responsible for filing and maintenance of case records, substantial data entry, processing of traffic and non-traffic citations, scheduling of hearings, collection of and accounting for fines and costs payments, other typing and receiving and routing phone calls.  This is a union position. 
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program. Experience or education in data processing, bookkeeping, and/or secretarial science is preferred.  Computer knowledge is helpful.  A favorable criminal background check is required.

Probation Services - Juvenile Division$11.49
Dauphin County Probation Services (Juvenile Division) is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Department Clerk 2.  An employee in this position is responsible for answering the telephone and directing calls to the proper party.  The position also involves clerical work of moderate difficulty, involving heavy typing.  The employee must maintain files, process many standard forms, operate a fax and copy machine, and deliver interoffice mail.  This is a union position. 
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program, with course work in secretarial science and/or a related field; plus, any equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. A favorable criminal background check is required.

Manager of Court Operations
Clerk of Courts$17.74
Dauphin County Clerk of Courts is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Manager of Court Operations.  An employee in this position manages operations and interactions between the Clerk of Courts and the Court of Common Pleas; performs supervisory and specialized managerial and administrative duties within the department, and acts as overall liaison to the County courts.  Supervisory responsibility extends to the instruction, scheduling and supervision of office personnel assigned to courtrooms.  When necessary, the incumbent acts as a courtroom clerk; he/she records dispositions and administers oaths, as necessary.  Assists with the maintenance and storage of court records, which requires occasional lifting/carrying of heavy dockets or file boxes. Incumbent reports directly to the elected Clerk of Court.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field; must be proficient in the use of a computer and have management and administrative experience.  One year working experience in county government, legal, or court environment, preferred.  Or, any acceptable combination of education, training, or work experience.  A favorable criminal background check is required.
