Dauphin County Prison is currently accepting applications for the full-time, varied shift position of Treatment Specialist I.   An employee in this position will provide casework and counseling services to Prison inmates (classified and unclassified; sentenced and unsentenced) on Prison premises.  He/she may work in concert on block with an associated Treatment Specialist II (whose duties he/she may appropriate or share as necessary, or as directed by proper authority), and reports to the Treatment Supervisor, Treatment Coordinator, or Deputy Warden for Treatment Services (as the last directs). Dauphin County Social Services for Children & Youth is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Administrator 4.  This position requires the leadership, organization and management of all aspects of the department.  An employee in this position will plan and budget the work of the department.   The employee will direct the service managers who oversee the supervisors by ensuring the day-to-day work of the department is being conducted in a timely manner in full compliance with all applicable statutes, regulations, policies and directives.  The employee will oversee the development, County approval, and submission of the County Child Welfare Needs Based Budget and Plan.  The employee will plan, recommend award of, and monitor outside-provider contracts in consultation with the County Solicitor’s Office.  The employee will continuously review program effectiveness through both internal quality assurance review processes and external program and contract monitoring processes.  The employee will interface with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services regarding the delivery of child welfare related services in Dauphin County.
 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:  Five years of progressively responsible experience in the field of social services, including three years in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a children and youth social services program agency; and a bachelor’s degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
 
Other Requirements:  Five years of experience within the Human Services community involving quality assurance and delivery of responsibilities; business management experience, public administration experience, or personnel management experience is preferred.  Management and business degrees and/or training are preferred.  A valid driver’s license, a favorable criminal background check and favorable child abuse and FBI clearances are required.  Working during non-traditional hours may at times be required.
