Persons wishing to apply for a posted Dauphin County Prison position should complete an Application for Prison Employment and submit it to the Dauphin County Department of Human Resources.

While Dauphin County does not inquire into an individual’s criminal history at the time of application, with the exception of Prison positions, certain convictions may disqualify an individual from a position.

Prison$16.19
Dauphin County Prison is currently accepting applications for the full-time, varied shift position of Treatment Specialist I.   An employee in this position will provide casework and counseling services to Prison inmates (classified and unclassified; sentenced and unsentenced) on Prison premises.  He/she may work in concert on block with an associated Treatment Specialist II (whose duties he/she may appropriate or share as necessary, or as directed by proper authority), and reports to the Treatment Supervisor, Treatment Coordinator, or Deputy Warden for Treatment Services (as the last directs). This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social sciences, psychology, education, or a related field; counseling experience preferred. The qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age by the date of hire.   A favorable criminal background check is required.

Dauphin County Controller’s Office is currently accepting applications for a full-time, day shift position of Audit/Accounting Manager.  Responsibilities of this position include managing financial transactions, planning and performing professional financial audits and quality management review audits to assure compliance with Federal, State, and County rules and regulations including the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and conducting investigations in accordance with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ guidelines and standards.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

Dauphin County Social Services for Children & Youth is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Quality Assurance Records Specialist.  This is a professional social service casework and case management position within the Quality Assurance Unit of Children and Youth Services.  An employee in this position will review casework to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations, department policies, and other authoritative sources.  In addition to conducting comprehensive case record reviews, the employee will facilitate case records review meetings.  The employee will explain case record review reports and ensure corrections are completed in accordance with established timeframes.  The employee will handle confidential information, prepare reports/special projects, and perform other duties as directed.  The employee will report to the CYS Quality Assurance Manager with subsequent review by the Department Administrator.  This is a non-union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:  Two years of social casework management experience which included the maintenance of client case files; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
 
Clarification of Requirements: “Social casework management experience” includes experience as a CYS Caseworker 2, MH/ID Caseworker 2, AAA Aging Care Manager 2, Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist, or any other similar experience which included responsibility for information pertaining to individual cases and files associated with clients engaged with the various human service departments.
