Prison$16.19
Dauphin County Prison is currently accepting applications for the full-time, varied shift position of Treatment Specialist I.   An employee in this position will provide casework and counseling services to Prison inmates (classified and unclassified; sentenced and unsentenced) on Prison premises.  He/she may work in concert on block with an associated Treatment Specialist II (whose duties he/she may appropriate or share as necessary, or as directed by proper authority), and reports to the Treatment Supervisor, Treatment Coordinator, or Deputy Warden for Treatment Services (as the last directs). This is a union position.
 
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social sciences, psychology, education, or a related field; counseling experience preferred.  A favorable criminal background check is required.

Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities$19.94
Dauphin County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities is accepting applications for the Crisis Intervention First Shift Supervisor position. This is a position within the 24-hour emergency Crisis Intervention Program which provides immediate responses to a variety of life crisis situations for persons in Dauphin County.  This is one of two supervisory positions within the Crisis program, supervising one clerical staff and ten first shift Crisis Caseworkers including the bi-lingual, homeless specialist, and the Northern Dauphin County satellite office caseworker, and sharing on-call duty for nights and weekends.  This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and decision-making.  The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the program’s policies and procedures for mobile, telephone, and walk-in Crisis services; the county mental health system, mental health commitment laws and other applicable mental health regulations; crisis counseling and intervention techniques; related mental health diagnostic and assessment skills; and general personnel and supervision policies.  This position requires usage and supervision of the program’s electronic case notes system, disposition planning, knowledge of community human services programs, ethics for professional human services staff, ability to communicate orally and in writing, and ability to develop culturally sensitive rapport with diverse populations.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Magisterial District Judge J. Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements: Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program, plus an associate’s degree and a minimum of at least one year of full time work experience in a business setting; or, graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program, and three years working experience in a Magisterial District Court in Pennsylvania; or graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program, plus an equivalent combination of experience and training to include three years of administrative and business experience encompassing budgeting, billing, invoicing and records management.  A favorable criminal background check is required.

Dauphin County Safety & Security Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time, varied shift position of Security Officer.  An employee in this position will be responsible for controlling or surveying assigned County structures and premises; operating authorized electronic, electrical, and electrode-mechanical security devices in accordance with established policy and procedure; completing standardized logs and reports; documenting and investigating events observed or reported; and making appropriate notifications within and without County government.  Incumbent will attend mandated instruction classes, establish and maintain associated certifications, and report to the shift supervisor daily.

At least one (1) year of security experience, preferred.  May possess or acquire the following certifications: Act 235 Lethal Weapons, CPR/First Aid, and Passive Restraint Training.  The qualified candidate must be at least 18 years of age by the date of hire.
