Application Process:  Current employees must complete a Transfer Application and attach their resume.  Non-County employees must complete a Dauphin County Application for Employment.  Applicants must attach transcripts or other required documentation evidencing qualifications for the position.  Applications may be obtained from and must be submitted to the Department of Human Resources.

Correctional Officer

Dauphin County Prison is currently accepting applications for full-time, varied shift positions of Correctional Officer.  An employee in this position will be responsible for the care, custody and control of male and female inmates.  This is a union position. 
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program.  The qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age by the date of hire.  Favorable criminal background check required.
