Committee Members

In 2005 the Dauphin County Commissioners approved a committee be formed consisting of Dauphin County employees in the effort to implement the Wellness Program. The Wellness Program is part of our Highmark benefits and the Commissioners wanted to see that this program was put into action. The goal of this committee is to educate employees on the benefits received from Highmark as well as help them enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

In the past two years the Wellness Committee has initiated many programs including but not limited to; Drop 10 in 10, Weight Watchers, Discover Relaxation Within I and II, weekly massages, and the annual Wellness Fair. Many other programs were started and will continue in 2007. With the Commissioners support and a budget to implement more programs and incentives, the Wellness Committee is diligently working on promoting Lifestyle Returns and looks forward to seeing County employees participate in these worthwhile programs.

You will find that the Wellness Committee has information posted on the intranet, as well as the Internet to assist spouses and dependents in their efforts to a healthy lifestyle. When you go to these websites you will find pertinent information on upcoming programs and helpful links to related websites.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the members of the Wellness Committee. Please feel free to contact any one of these committee members if you have any questions about the Wellness Program.
