January 31, 2017 - Dauphin County Elections Bureau reminds residents of polling place change in South Hanover Township and small games of chance referendum on the primary election ballot in Williams Township

HARRISBURG, PA (January 31, 2017) – Registered voters of South Hanover Township’s Third Precinct will soon receive new voter registration cards in the mail to inform them of a polling place change that will take effect for the May 16 Municipal Primary, according to the Dauphin County Bureau of Registration and Elections.

Following the sale of South Hanover Township’s previous polling location, the former Union Deposit Volunteer Fire House at 10 W. Main Street, it was determined that the new municipal building at 161 Patriot Way, just off Route 39, would be a convenient and centrally located polling place.

The Elections Bureau has also placed a referendum on the May 16 ballot for Williams Township voters to approve or reject the following: “Do you favor the issuance of licenses to conduct small games of chance in the Township of Williams?”  If approved, this referendum will mark the last of all 40 municipalities in Dauphin County to have approved the issuing of small games of chance licenses.

Voters can check their polling places online at and by clicking on Government Services, Elections & Voter Registration and Polling Places. This site provides viewers with a map of all 162 election district boundaries for Dauphin County and polling place locations.  Voters also can contact the Bureau at 717-780-6360 for additional questions.
