 February 23, 2012 - Bears Boy Scout “Weather” Badge Workshop at Wildwood Park

​HARRISBURG, PA (February 23, 2012)—Bears Boy Scouts will learn about “Weather” at a workshop on from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at the Olewine Nature Center in Wildwood Park.

With structured activities, scouts will learn not only how to read a thermometer, wind vane and barometer, but will make their own instruments. This program will also help scouts understand air pressure and precipitation. Participants will take a trip outside to log the day’s weather.

The cost of registration is $10 per scout. A registration form is available at Scouts should bring a packed lunch and drink.
