Dauphin County Emergency Communications Center uses some of the latest hardware and software equipment to process and dispatch both emergency and non-emergency events to field providers in a quick and efficient manner.

Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) - How information is collected and transferred from call take workstations to dispatch workstations.

Priority Dispatch Corp. - Dauphin County uses internationally recognized National Academy of Emergency Dispatch (NAED) protocols for medical, fire and police to process incidents coming into the call center.

Radio Dispatch - Dauphin County Communications Center dispatches police, fire and medical units throughout the County over a digital trunked system.

I/Mobile - Most police, fire and medical field providers' vehicles are equipped with mobile terminals in which the police officer, fire chief or EMS provider can access the same information from the CAD system used in the Communications Center.
