Bio - MDJ Lenker

Magisterial District Judge James A. Lenker was born and raised in Susquehanna Township where he continues to make his home. He graduated from Susquehanna Township High School in 1974 and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. Magisterial District Judge Lenker served as a volunteer firefighter in Susquehanna Township for 10 years. He was employed as a police officer in the Borough of Penbrook for one year, before being hired as a police officer in Susquehanna Township where he served for 20 years until his retirement in 1997. As a police officer, he specialized in a traffic accident investigations and was an evidence technician. Lenker then became a realtor, Associate Broker, for 12 years in the business community. He was elected as Magisterial District Judge in 2009 and sworn in at the Dauphin County Courthouse by President Judge Richard A. Lewis on December 17, 2009 and again sworn in by President Judge Todd Hoover on January 4, 2010 for a six year term. Magisterial District Judge is a member of St. Margaret Mary's Church in Penbrook and is proud to continue his public service as Magisterial District Judge 12-1-01. I am a member of the Susquehanna Twp. Lions Club, and as a Judge, I serve as a board member for the Dauphin County Drug & Alcohol Services.
