Magisterial District Judge Roy C. Bridges

mdj_bridges Roy C. Bridges was born March 16, 1941 in Scottsville, Kentucky, the tenth child of the late Mr. & Mrs. Jewel Bridges. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army from 1959 until 1961. He has been married to Diana (Hoover) Bridges since 1967 and they have two children and two grandchildren. After serving 28 years as a police officer, the last 21 years as Chief of Police of Hummelstown Police Department, he was elected as Magisterial District Judge in the newly-created magisterial district of 12-03-05, covering East, South and West Hanover Townships. He is a member of the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania, American Legion, Hummelstown Lions Club and several other civic and professional organizations.

Fast Fact
Governor John Y. Brown of Kentucky awarded MDJ Bridges a commission as a Kentucky Colonel in 1982. Other honorees of this award have included Red Skelton, John Wayne and Bing Crosby.

From the West Shore or Carlisle: Take I-81 North to Exit 27 Manada Hill; go to the right at the end of the ramp. Continue on Rt. 39 until the traffic light at Rt. 39 and Rt. 22; turn right on Rt. 22; go one-half mile on Rt. 22. We are the second building on the right.

From the North or Upper Dauphin Area: Follow Route 22-322 to I-81 North to exit 27 Manada Hill. Go to the right at the end of the ramp. Continue on Rt. 39 until the traffic light at Rt. 39 and Rt. 22; turn right on Rt. 22; go one-half mile on Rt. 22. We are the second building on the right.

From the PA Turnpike: Take exit 19; Take route 283 North towards Harrisburg to I-83 North and then continue to I-81 North; to exit 27 Manada Hill. Go right at the end of the ramp; continue on Rt. 39 until the traffic light at Rt. 39 and Rt. 22; turn right on Rt. 22; go one-half mile on Rt. 22. We are the second building on the right.
