The Dauphin County Adult Probation Office is responsible for supervising individuals who are sentenced by the courts of Dauphin County. It is the overall mission of Dauphin County Adult Probation and Parole to protect the community and enhance public safety. This agency will enforce the court's orders and direct offenders under our supervision to services that will enable them to become lawful, productive citizens.

Offender supervision requires professional staff to conduct non-traditional contacts (e.g., at nights and on weekends) with offenders and the community. Many AP programs are models for other agencies. The Harrisburg Police/Probation Program, where probation officers team up with police to ride together and supervise offenders, has been a major success for both departments. The Intensive Drug Program is the best in the Commonwealth. Other programs include intake, geographical caseloads, upper county, sex offender, MH/MR, electronic monitoring, Drug Court and ARD.

As appointed Director of Dauphin County Adult Probation, I look forward to creating new programs that will focus on protecting the community, reducing recidivism and reunifying families.

"My expectations as Director are to increase communication between social service agencies and the court, thereby rehabilitating offenders while making them productive members of society. It will be my honor and privilege to achieve these goals and move Dauphin County forward."
