Harrisburg, August 31, 2007- Join the "ghost" of Mira Dock for tea from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 9 at Wildwood Lake Sanctuary's Olewine Nature Center.
"Tea With Mira Dock" is an interactive living history program presented by Louise Morgan that focuses on the City Beautiful movement and the woman who helped to create Wildwood. Mira's tea is set in the year 1900 and will include sassafras tea straight from her childhood vacation home on top Broadtop Mountain. Throughout the brewing, she does a little "lecturing," recalling when she traveled with her glass lantern slides to teach audiences about the "language" of nature.
For the hale and hearty, Mira will then lead a one-mile walk to point out some of the flora and fauna of Wildwood.
Pre-register for this program by calling 221-0292. The program fee is $5 per person.
